What the hell is Voltcase.co.uk?

Jello Biafra once said "don't hate the media, BECOME the media." So we did.

Founded in 2004, Voltcase is an online (and soon to be in-print) alternative culture magazine that scours the four corners of the universe to find cool stuff that we can share with all you sexy people out there.

We actively promote, encourage and support the DIY / underground scenes of the world, be it in music, art, modeling, films, or whatever, and try and expose as much as we can of what we find here on Voltcase.com

Some of the people featured and reviewed in Voltcase over the years have gone on to achieve big things, sometimes as a direct result of appearing in Voltcase, whereas others have faded into obscurity. Check out our archives - you may be surprised at who you find there.

So do yourself a favour, unplug the jukebox, and browse around some of our sections and check out something new today!

How do you decide on what content to include Voltcase?

There's only one condition - if we like it, it goes in. Simple as that. People seem to think that we only cover certain styles / areas / images / genres, but the bottom line is that if we like something, then it goes into Voltcase - regardless of what people think we should or shouldnt be covering. So, while most of our content falls firmly into the 'alternative' camp, if we came across a really good skiffle band, then we wouldnt hesitate to include them.

Hey, you guys rock - can I have your babies or something to show my appreciation?

Whilst we thoroughly enjoy the act of creating babies, if you really do enjoy what we do here at Voltcase, there are a couple of ways that you can really help us out:

• Give us a link / add our banner
  If you have a website, or a MySpace page, of a Facebook page, or anything at all that you can add a link to, our website address is:  www.voltcase.com . Or you could just use the handy little 'add this' box on each page to add Voltcase to your social networking page.
• Tell your friends
  Voltcase survives entirely on word of mouth and, without people telling their friends to check us out, we'd shrivel up and die. So, shout it from the rooftops! Or, if your a bit shy, just write 'voltcase.com' on a public lavatory or something, anything that spreads the word.
• 'Top friend' us
  Got a MySpace / social networking page? Then chuck us in your top friends list, so all of your friends can fall in love with us well - believe me, they'll thank you for it!
• Wear it proud (play it loud)!
  We have a merchandise page on this site (there’s a link to it in the main menu above), and buying / wearing one of our 'VM Skull' t-shirts, or any of our other items of sexy merchandise, will really put you in our good books. Not only will it make you look twice as cool and the envy of all your friends (unless your Bill Murray, in which case you’re cool enough as it is), but it will help us spread the word of Voltcase to the masses. In fact, ANYONE who emails us a picture of themselves wearing a Voltcase item of clothing will receive an exclusive mystery gift - and the better the pic, the better the gift!
