Attention to Detail
Reviewed: Online Tracks
Regionalised indie rock destined for Radio 1!
Very modern and NME-friendly sounding, Attention to Detail are one of those current batch of indie bands that seem to emphasise their regional accents and manage to create entire songs based on one quirky little riff that alternates from slightly janglie to break neck punk.
And they do it well, too. Very Subways, very Arctic Monkeys, very Fratellis, very... ah, you get the idea, very 'insert current cool band name here' and you wont be far off the mark.
Attention to Detail's only problem is that if the next 'grunge' or 'punk' is looming just around the corner and, if it does rear its ugly head and kill off the current batch of radio darlings, they could be left with a bunch of good songs that no one will ever listen too.
Overall? Annoyingly catchy pop rock with a lot of good ideas and a lot of potential to go on to bigger and better things.
