Providing a much welcomed dose of 50's rockabilly glamour in this summery month of July (unless you live in the UK like I do, of course, in which case it might as well be winter) is alternative model Jenn Martin who, in her own words, is a "pin-up / cheesecake, gothic, retro, cyber goth, rockabilly" model - quite a mix, then!

How are you?
Doing well. Sleepy... I'm not a morning person.

If you were talking to a stranger, how would you describe yourself in three words:
Feisty, sweet, silly

What kind of a model would you describe yourself as? Pin-up, or something else?
My concentration is pin-up but I also enjoy goth, rockabilly, and character work.

Any moral guidelines to what you will / wont do?
I will NOT pose nude. I will do implied to a point but my concentration is pin-up and to me it's all about the tease. I want a little mystery.

What’s this about you being an opera singer, then?
Ha ha! I've studied voice since I was 14 and at one time planned on being an opera singer professionally. I went to the University of Kentucky my Freshman year as a vocal major and decided that way of life just wasn't for me. I love to sing, but I'd rather do it as a hobby. After that year I went back home to Memphis and sang in Opera Memphis’ chorus for seven years. I just moved to North Carolina in September and I plan on auditioning for their opera company very soon.

Has the Internet helped you a lot in getting publicity / making contacts etc?
It's helped me make most of my contacts. There are so many great sites out there now that make networking so much easier than it once was.

Any advise for anyone out there thinking of following in your footsteps?
I recommend bringing an escort with you to your shoots unless you know the photographer. There are too many creepy people out there to take chances.

Why should the lazy general public make the effort to check you out, and what have you got planned for the coming year?
Because I’m the greatest thing to ever step in front of a camera! Seriously, I work very hard to come up with sexy looks and interesting concepts for my shoots.

And finally..... what does the word 'Voltcase' mean to you?
Well, the word “Voltcase” comes from the Latin roots “volte,” meaning liver and “casse,” meaning lips. Therefore a Voltcase is liver lipped sack of potatoes.
