I am very good, thank you for asking.
If you were talking to a stranger, how would you describe yourself in three words?
I would tell them gothic, enigma, and fierce.
‘Darkerside of Jewel‘ - what’s that name all about? Does it mean anything?
I normally go by the alias of Lady Dark Phoenix, but Darkerside of Jewel is part of a lyric from the song, Gothic Girl by The 69 Eyes. I have an obsession with solar opposites and through that comes my name, meaning Eclipsed.
Is this modeling thing a temporary thing, or do you plan on making a full time career from it?
Modeling has been a career since I was eight years old. I don't see myself quitting anytime soon.
As far as the modeling goes, have you got any personal guidelines on what you will / wont do - regardless of the money on offer?
Yes, I do. I will not do full nudity, actual pornography I.E no sex acts, and nothing that goes against my beliefs nor morals.
Music means a lot to us here at Voltcase, do you listen to much yourself? Any favourite bands / artists? What about this 69 Eyes band you promote?
Music is a huge part of my life. There isn't a day that goes by that I am not listening to music. A few of my favorite bands are, the 69 Eyes, HIM, Derdian, Type O Negative and Stratovarius. I love the 69 Eyes, their music helped me through some very rough times and made it bearable. After listening to them, I was able to have the honor of promoting their work.
Going by your image, so you seem to be into the darker things of life. Do you watch a lot of horror films etc, or is it just an image?
My entire life I've been obsessed with the "darker sides" of life. Indeed, I do watch horror films, but I also read numerous Gothic novels, study the history behind the twelve hundred years of this amazing culture and truly embrace every ounce of it. What people see in my pictures, is just that, me. There is no image, there is no mask, there is but a woman who has no shame in who I am.
Some people, even 'goths', hate being referred to as a 'goth' - do you consider yourself a goth, and are you proud of it?
I consider myself to be a traditional Gothic woman, who actually took the time and effort to study and embrace the true Gothic values that have been in place since the twelve hundreds. I am very proud of being who and what I am. I dislike being called "Goth" by idiots that know nothing of the culture or think that being Emo is the same as being a classy, Gothic woman or man. By no means is Emo Gothic. So, in other words if an Emo kiddie dares to even speak to me, then yes I do take offense and loathe it.
Why should the lazy general public make the effort to check you out, and what have you got planned for the immediate future?
The general public should check me out because I offer what a lot of others don't, and that is being real. I am who I am, what you see is what you get and I can show people a whole new world that is outside the box. I'm not fake, I don't lie, and I truly appreciate all the people out there who do check me out and support me. As far as the immediate future, I plan on moving back over seas, getting married, continue going to fine arts school and doing more shoots for everyone out there.
And finally..... what does the word 'Voltcase' mean to you?
I would say "voltcase" means a shockingly good energy boost! |
