VOLTCASE SOPHIA DISGRACE INTERVIEW:

Welcome to Voltcase, Sophia, how are things!?

Hiya, I'm very good thanks, a little tired though!

So, how would you describe yourself to a stranger in three words?

I would describe myself as being a dreamer, a free thinker and a complete contradiction at times...

Now, as someone who works as a body piercer, you must have at least one or two yourself. Can you tell us about them? And whets the craziest piercing you’ve ever had to perform on someone?

In the last 8 years, when i first got my tongue pierced at 16, I have acquired around 30 piercing's and 8 dermal implants. My favourite ones are probably my tongue webbing and my cheeks. They hurt like a bitch to get done though and swelled so much i looked like a retarded hamster for 3 weeks but look cute!

Piercing is quite a fun, laid back job, but you need a strong stomach sometimes and alot of patience to deal with the general public whose heads are often filled with media horror stories about body mods and a strange obsession with belly button piercing, I blame Brittany...

One of the nicest customers, and most memorable, was a gentleman who had attempted beading on his penis (this involves inserting small balls under the foreskin to enhance sexual pleasure and is commonly practiced by The Yakuza) it had gone slightly wrong and looked pretty bad. He was too scared to go to AnE for fear of being accused of self harm. I helped him out and in return he gave me a huuuuge bouquet of flowers, made my day!

Moving on to the pro-domming that you’re doing at the moment, what appeals to you most about it? The being in control, for example?

The Pro-Domming is a novel area to explore certain aspects of the human psyche. For example peoples fetishes and the basis behind them interest me greatly. The complex sub/Domme relationship can often raise the question 'who is actually in control?'as when i am in this role I'm actually providing a service to a paying customer!

In my private life I like to experiment but i don't want to necessarily be control. I enjoy the fantasy element of Domming.

Can you tell us a bit about these films you’ve been acting in, one of which was previewed in Frightfest recently?

I have recently acted in two U.K indie horror movies: Amalagam and Animalsoup. They were lots of fun to do (I love being covered in fake blood, ohhh, the depravity!) and are each receiving alot of positive feedback within the industry. Animalsoup was trailered at last years Frightfest in London and I'm flying out to the States in September for The DarkCarnival Film Festival where the movie is being shown. Gorezone has also supported the film, helping to advertise it for us and head of Troma Films, Lloydd Kauffman has a cameo in the movie!

All that aside, how's do you find the time for modelling with so much other stuff going on? Is it more of a sideline for you, as it were?

I really enjoy the modelling and often try and incorporate all of my work together, for instance with my experience in piercing and Domming I have choreographed and performed fetish burlesque shows. I try and self promote myself modelling wise and really hope to focus more on this in time. I like to keep busy and my options open and exciting!

As a self proclaimed 'geek at heart' (a bit like us here at Voltcase!), what are you geekiest about? Any particular films, bands or comics?

I think i am just a geek through and through - from birth as it were! I love films and have a really varied taste. Some of my faves include: Shogun Assassin, Ninja Scroll, Taxi Driver, The Shining, Eraserhead and Serial Mom. I love finding out random film facts and collecting horror/comic hero figures/merch!

If you were interviewing yourself, what question would you ask yourself? And what would the answer be?

I think I would ask myself in an interview: If you could have a super power, what would it be? To which I would reply: To be able to stop and start time, imagine the possibilities!

So, what does the future hold for you this year?

I have recently gotten engaged to Tom my soulmate, so I'm looking forward to getting married-perhaps in ol' Vegas! Seeing my son grow ever cuter (he is 3 and sooo funny, always babbling). Also looking to travel extensively and build on my modelling and acting work predominantly.

And finally, the question that we ask everyone that appears in Voltcase - what does the word 'Voltcase' mean?

The word Voltcase conjures up images of Al Capone style gangsters, who used to carry guns around in violin cases. I have no idea where this linkage came from, you wanted crazy, you got crazy!
