Hello! Welcome to Voltcase, how are things!?

Busy,exhausting and fucking great! Thanks for asking and it is my pleasure to be here (:

So, how would you describe yourself to a stranger in just three words?

Intense, dark, sexy.

Loud rock ’n’ roll plays a big part in our lives here at Voltcase, are you a big music fan? Any bands or artists you might want to namedrop for us, or any unknown acts that you think we should check out?

I am a huge metal fan but also love other forms of music as well such as classical,neo folk,dark electro,industrial,and some artists that I cannot catagorise such as Boyd Rice,Rocky Erikson,Fields of the Nephilm and my boyfriend's band Wastescape. am also a fan of horror punk/rockabilly styles.

I used to front the death metal band ReformDeathNation, playing lead guitar and growling on the lead vocals. I no longer play music on a professional level but through my image creations help to promote many bands by modelling their merchandise and letting them use my images on album covers,posters,flyers etc..of course I have to like the music for which my images are representing so yes again mainly metal. (:
To drop a few names of bands I think you and the readers here should definitely check out are: Wastescape, Nefestus Dies, Megiddo, Arkon Infaustus, Blackmass, Mountain King, Sanguinarius, Folkearth, Folkodia, headtank, Brumous, Flesh and more calmer artists such as Faun and Triskalia or even Lokigui.

Some of the more popular artists I am into would be acts such as Behemoth, Marduk, Morbid Angel and to calm it down Death in June to name but a very few.

Now, on to the modelling – how did it all start for you? Was it something you always wanted to do, or did it just ‘happen’?

In short, I was training as a dom and was one of the assistants performing in live fetish shows with one of Montreal's veteran doms Fetishia. Alot of our shows were published in local fetish and alternative lifestyle magazines and from this I got modelling job offers for fetish fashion,Leather clothing, club flyers, poster ads for local sex shops and alternative clothing stores...also got into and did comedy cabaret, more fetish demonstration, shows and burlesque. Over the past 5 years I did more and more of the modelling and less and less of the live shows and the past 3 years has been strictly modelling gigs up the yinyang hehe.

Do you have any personal guidelines on what you will or won’t do for the sake of a good photo, or is it pretty much anything goes? And if you do have any guidelines, have you ever been in a situation where you’ve had to enforce them?

My main no no is that I will not do anything pornographic meaning no open leg, sexually explicit, raunchy styled images that belong in Hustler or the like. If I do any nudes they are artistically done usually partial, implied or sheer and for a specific purpose also depends on if I have worked with the photographer before amongst other factors..

I also try my best to be as original as possible,don't like to repeat myself in my work and yes everything has been done before so certain themes and such cannot be avoided and nothing these days is original in that aspect so whatever I do I try to do it in a different way to make it my own.

I will definitely not outright copy anyone else's work and will not let my images be used by bands/artists who's music I do not know nor like.
Also refuse to wear eye contacts no matter how freaky they are that is just because I am to chicken to put them in and take them out hehe also will not wear any Halloween looking costumes or cheesy wings etc... I love to do fantasy images but they must look and be classy not store bought out of a bag cheesy. hehe

No I have never been forced yet to be in a situation that I had to enforce any of my rules.

For a lot of models, acting and modelling seem to go hand in hand. Have you ever done any acting, or do you have any aspirations to go into it?

I am an independent horror film actress and have appeared in documentaries based on the occult,witchcraft and the paranormal also did an interview and appeared on the Discovery Channel's episodes of 'Sex Files' and 'Sexual Secrets'.

I got into film the same time as I did modelling back when I was working in the Montreal fetish scene etc... I always showed up for film castings and knew people in this scene..Most of the films I did were in French,also did some short films on fetish demonstrations, the last movie I did was a horror thriller scenes in both French and English and this also is to be dubbed in German. Movie to be out in film festivals for 2009...not sure on which title they chose to go with for this film so I will keep quiet to the name of it until I know for sure (:

I love acting and do feel that do be a great model one must be able to also be a great actor/actress. I love film very much and would love to continue more in this field.

We’re all a bunch of geek's at heart here at Voltcase, are you particularly geekie about anything in particular yourself – the embarrassing the better!?

Well being a big metalhead can be seen as geeky to some hehe ,that is being a fan of old school Twisted Sister styled music as well ha ha ha... I also used to be a big player of Dungeons & Dragons even was a DM for awhile hehe ...Love cartoons and comics (mostly was collecting horror comics and Vampirella+Lady Death).Also used to play alot of war games and zombie killing video games both at home and at the arcades hehe don't play games anymore no time.

If you were interviewing yourself, what question would you ask yourself? And what would the answer be?

Q: Are you a witch? Satanist? are you really dark like that images you portray?
A: Yes,I practice a form of traditional Left Hand Path Witchcraft(Luciferian/Sabbatic) and am a student of the occult,also have taught many metalphysical classes and given lectures on various subjects within these realms. Yes I naturally have a truly darkened character which comes out in my work and have a very morbid sense of humor-doesnt mean that I am not a fun person haha.

So, what big plans, if any, have you got the rest of the year? Anything exciting going on?

I have a few travel plans for photo shoots in Copenhagen and Stockholm also in the UK (but back in the UK for spring 2009). Have an upcoming online fan chat with Mourning Star promotions for saturday August 30th at midnight EST.

Also looking forward to my upcoming feature with Ninth Gate Magazine out October 31st. And working on some fun and creative photo shoots for upcoming projects for a couple of my agencies and for Kindra RavenMoon merchandise with one of the best alternative photographers Ami Helge of Hybrid Foto. There is abit more but this is all I can remember at this moment.

And finally, the question that we ask everyone that appears in Voltcase - what does the word 'Voltcase' mean?

VOLTCASE: A masturbation of minds,making it's readers reach their ultimate climax,releasing it's power into the world's atmosphere and beyond... There is no end just release.....
