Hi, welcome to Voltcase! How are things!?

Absolutely peachy!

So, how would you describe yourself to a stranger in just three words?

Oh that’s a hard one, okay, “Corseted Pinup Princess!”

Is there anything in particular that sets you apart from all of the other Voltgirl’s we’ve featured in Voltcase over the years?

I'm a Glasgow born gal with a thick Scottish accent and penchant for mature cheddar and oatcakes!?

Now, on to the modelling – how did it all start for you? Was it something you always wanted to do, or did it just ‘happen’?

I really just stumbled into it! I went through a bit of bullying when I was in school which made me feel insecure about my own body; I was always a bit different as I grew up as book worm who loved classic rock. Once I left and started going to gigs, developing a social life and realising what I wanted in life, I let go of the insecurity and put myself out there. I didn’t expect to get anywhere but I focused on my love of 50's pinup and suddenly there were people wanting to photograph me! Modelling has really given me confidence and I can now look back on those days in school and give them the proverbial middle finger... but of course I'm a lady! I'll always have my feet on the ground though – I'm a realist and I'm just making the most of it and having fun being a modern pinup!

Do you have any personal guidelines on what you will or won’t do for the sake of a good photo, or is it pretty much anything goes? And if you do have any guidelines, have you ever been in a situation where you’ve had to enforce them?

I only work up to lingerie. I like what's not on show to be the teasing part! The images need to be classy and cheeky! Thankfully I've never been in a situation where I've been pushed to work to higher levels – everyone I've worked with so far has been very respectful. As for anything else – I've climbed through mud, over walls and fences, into deserted ruins and stood on the edge of crumbling walls just to get the right photo – in that respect, I don't think there's anything I wouldn't do!

A lot of the models that we chat to here at Voltcase are often actresses, musicians, writers etc as well. Are you concentrating on just the modelling, or is it just one of many things that you do?

I write also – I’ve had some very amateurish poetry published before and I'm always writing short stories and novels. I rarely finish them though – I'm very critical and I re-read it to the point where I find too many faults and give up. I'd love to get back into drama and acting as I did a lot when I was younger, and I'm considering getting into burlesque performing.

We’re all a bunch of geeks at heart here at Voltcase, are you particularly geekie about anything in particular yourself – the more embarrassing the better!?

Oh yes, lots of things! I'm a book worm primarily, but I also love retro gaming – Super Mario, Sonic, the blockier and more colourful the better – I think more modern games should have daft tunes with blue skies with smiley clouds! My spare room has been turned into a Retro Arcade room with a Neo Geo, Atari 7800 and Jaguar, Nintendo, Sega Master System and more. The most modern thing is a Playstation 2! Do you want to come and play at my house??

If you were interviewing yourself, what question would you ask yourself? And what would the answer be?

Q – What’s your goal in modelling? A: To be Scotland’s go-to-girl for Pinup and Retro modelling – oh and not to let my arse get any bigger! Scottish cuisine is mostly made of fat, sugar and salt! And I have a very sweet tooth!

Loud rock ’n’ roll plays a big part in our lives here at Voltcase, are you a big music fan? Any bands or artists you might want to namedrop for us, or any unknown acts that you think we should check out?

Definitely! In my house the music varies from classic Eric Clapton to ear bleeding Berzerker! One band I adore and who have recently been signed to HRH Management are Attica Rage, a Glasgow based hard rock band who have just recently finished a successful tour with Die Apokalpytischen Reiter. They're awesome musicians and incredibly nice down to earth guys!

And finally, the question that we ask everyone that appears in Voltcase - what does the word 'Voltcase' mean?

It’s an insult! The "Volt" is short for "revolting"! Call someone a Voltcase and they'll know they need a bath!
