Hi, welcome to Voltcase! How are things!?

Great! I am still not immortal. .Would you like to help immortalize me in print, photographs and other media?

So, how would you describe yourself to a stranger in just three words?

Creative, passionate, artist.

Is there anything in particular that sets you apart from all of the other Voltgirl’s we’ve featured in Voltcase over the years?

My BIG smile ofcourse.. A true artist at heart with drive and determination.  I use modelling, photography, drawing and other mediums to express my artistic vision.  I should have joined the circus a long time ago.

Now, on to the modelling – how did it all start for you? Was it something you always wanted to do, or did it just ‘happen’?

I like being in front of the camera and behind it.  I always had friends who were photographers and visual artists.  I enjoyed coming up with photo shoot ideas and artistic projects with them.  I have been exploring modelling since I was a young girl.  My shameless self promotion and killer cross-over networking has opened many doors for me.

Do you have any personal guidelines on what you will or won’t do for the sake of a good photo, or is it pretty much anything goes? And if you do have any guidelines, have you ever been in a situation where you’ve had to enforce them?

Pretty open minded about my photo shoots.  The most important thing is to have the most fun you can even if you are working.  My guideline is safety first when it comes to working with new people.  There are some creepy creepers out there!

A lot of the models that we chat to here at Voltcase are often actresses, musicians, writers etc as well. Are you concentrating on just the modelling, or is it just one of many things that you do?

My stage name is JILLIEJAKES.  I have done some acting as well as the modelling.  I am also what I call a free writer.  I often write about love, relationships, and the chase.  My writing is satirical, comical, sexually provocative, and rebellious.  I like to bend ideas.

We’re all a bunch of geeks at heart here at Voltcase, are you particularly geekie about anything in particular yourself – the more embarrassing the better!?

Total geek here! I am an internet junkie.. who is always reading obscure information.  I particularly like reading biography information about other very accomplished people.  My medical jargon is pretty good too..

If you were interviewing yourself, what question would you ask yourself? And what would the answer be?

Why is your nick name JILLIEJAKES? The answer would be JILLIE knows a lot of JAKES.  Never trust a woman with LIE in her name.

Loud rock ’n’ roll plays a big part in our lives here at Voltcase, are you a big music fan? Any bands or artists you might want to namedrop for us, or any unknown acts that you think we should check out?

My knowledge of underground bands in the New York area is pretty vast.  I have to recommend these groups in the NY area you should check out : ANAKA , PUI,  TRUNKFACE, AQUAVIBE, STRANGERPRO  All of whom I have met or am friends with.  These groups are definitely on the rise.

And finally, the question that we ask everyone that appears in Voltcase - what does the word 'Voltcase' mean?

Voltcase is a large coffin suitcase you put different outfits in and it electrifies your clothing and plays music when you open it up! =))
