Hi, welcome to Voltcase! How are things!?

Hi there, and thanks - it’s good to be here! Things are going good, I have some coffee by my side and little fancy cakes so that’s gotta be good.

So, how would you describe yourself to a stranger in just three words?

Awesome, crazy, colourful… Yeah, that’s what I'd say, but only if they asked me… I couldn't just go up to a stranger and say that – well, ok, I probably would!

Is there anything in particular that sets you apart from all of the other Voltgirl’s we’ve featured in Voltcase over the years?

The thing that sticks out most is probably that none of those girls were me… That sets me apart, right?  All the girls featured have been totally awesome though and I love their pictures!

Now, on to the modelling – how did it all start for you? Was it something you always wanted to do, or did it just ‘happen’?

I guess it was a bit of both, me and my super awesome friend Gemmie just started out playing about with a camera. She’s now a very talented photographer and is doing really well. I started working with other photographers and almost gave up really until recently when I had lots of photographers wanting to work with me and my first paid shoot! Now it's something I'm really passionate about and would love to continue.

Do you have any personal guidelines on what you will or won’t do for the sake of a good photo, or is it pretty much anything goes? And if you do have any guidelines, have you ever been in a situation where you’ve had to enforce them?

I have quite a large scar on my stomach from surgery. It's something I almost died from, so the scar is a reminder of how lucky I am. I don't like editing or covering it as it’s something that I'm proud of but, if photographers want to take it out, then that’s fine - I just think it looks weird without it! Ha ha!

A lot of the models that we chat to here at Voltcase are often actresses, musicians, writers etc as well. Are you concentrating on just the modelling, or is it just one of many things that you do?

I play bass but I'm not a musician. I use to promote bands quite a lot, this included dressing as a hot dog for Feable Weiner, that was awesome. Before the name Darling Nightmare I was Super Tasha Weiner which I still go by when I am in my more crazy moods.

We’re all a bunch of geeks at heart here at Voltcase, are you particularly geekie about anything in particular yourself – the more embarrassing the better!?

I was definitely a bit of a geek in school. I still love computer games and spend way too much time on computers but I can't say I’m geekie about anything embarrassing… *thinks harder* hmm nope =P

If you were interviewing yourself, what question would you ask yourself? And what would the answer be?

I would ask something about tattoos, so hmm how about my fave tattoo?
My fave so far has to be the one on my lower back. No, as tempting as it was, it is not a tribal heart, but something that really expresses how I feel. It has deep meaning to me and has helped me through alot. It says "Hooray for Beer."

Loud rock ’n’ roll plays a big part in our lives here at Voltcase, are you a big music fan? Any bands or artists you might want to namedrop for us, or any unknown acts that you think we should check out?

I couldn't be without music! Good music anyways. My fave band is one everyone should check out if you haven’t already - Bowling for Soup (we agree - check out Voltcase in May for an exclusive Bowling for Soup interview – Ed)! Other bands I'm currently listening to are The Dresdon Dolls, the Dollyrots and Biffy Clyro!

And finally, the question that we ask everyone that appears in Voltcase - what does the word 'Voltcase' mean?

I would say it was a Volt for Cases or a Case for Volts but that’s not very imaginative so I think it means a secret place that stores vital information in case of an alien invasion and it also has files of awesome ladies and gents in there that if needed these will be the people who will start a new life on a rockin' new planet.
